About us

North East Lon­don Pub­lic Phar­ma­cy Part­ner­ship  (in short PPP) is a part­ner­ship between the local pub­lic and local phar­ma­cies and it’s pur­pose is to work to improve patient care from the phar­ma­cies.
 

Remit of PPP:

  • To con­sult and plan with both the pub­lic and the patients when­ev­er pos­si­ble on the facil­i­ties, range, qual­i­ty and pro­vi­sion of phar­ma­cy ser­vices
  • To con­sult and plan with both the pub­lic and the patients when­ev­er pos­si­ble on the inte­gra­tion, and co-loca­tion of phar­ma­cy ser­vices in pri­ma­ry, sec­ondary and com­mu­ni­ty care
  • To specif­i­cal­ly liaise with the rel­e­vant Third Sec­tor (vol­un­tary sec­tor) as and when need­ed
  • To bring a sense of own­er­ship and part­ner­ship between both the pub­lic and the patients and phar­ma­cy staff
  • To give both the pub­lic and patients and phar­ma­cy staff the oppor­tu­ni­ty to dis­cuss top­ics of mutu­al inter­est
  • To allow both the pub­lic and the patients to make pos­i­tive sug­ges­tions about the phar­ma­cies and their own health­care and phar­ma­ceu­ti­cal care
  • To pro­mote self-help projects to meet the needs of both the pub­lic and the patients
  • To act as a rep­re­sen­ta­tive group that can be called upon to influ­ence the local pro­vi­sion of med­i­cines, health and social care
